Stephen Curry has never lost a game for the U.S. national basketball team.

Golden State Warriors star and U.S. national team member Stephen Curry has not suffered a single loss in games for his national team. Curry has a perfect 29-0 record with the Americans.

Earlier, it was reported that Curry had become the first basketball player in Olympic history to make eight three-pointers in two consecutive games.

In the gold medal game against France, Curry was the leading scorer for Team USA. He managed to score 24 points, grab 1 rebound, distribute 5 assists and record 2 steals. Curry was on the court for 29 minutes and 37 seconds.

“Steph’s commitment to representing his country at the highest level is unmatched,” said U.S. head coach Gregg Popovich. “He’s done it time and time again, and his performance at these Olympic Games was a true testament to his competitive spirit and leadership.”

Curry's perfect record with the national team is all the more impressive when you consider the level of competition he's faced. The United States has faced other basketball superpowers like Spain, Serbia and France, but Curry has been the driving force behind their continued dominance.

“Every time I put on this jersey, I feel an immense sense of pride and responsibility,” Curry said. “Playing for your country, representing the red, white and blue, it’s the ultimate honor. I never take that for granted.”

Beyond his scoring exploits, Curry has also been lauded for his ability to elevate his teammates and make everyone around him better. His ball movement, court vision and willingness to make the extra pass have been critical factors in the United States' success.

“Steph is the ultimate team player,” teammate Jayson Tatum said. “He could easily dominate the ball and try to score 30 points every night, but instead, he’s always looking to get us involved and put us in a position to succeed. That’s what makes him such a special player and leader.”

With his Olympic gold medal now secured, Curry is once again focused on chasing more NBA championships with the Warriors. At 36, he continues to defy Father Time and play at an elite level. Many experts believe he still has several more years of glory left in the tank.

“I’m just getting started,” Curry said. “This Olympic gold medal is the culmination of a lot of hard work and sacrifice, but I’m hungrier than ever to continue to build on my legacy. I feel great, my game is still evolving, and I know I have more history to write with the Warriors and Team USA.”

Curry's unparalleled success with the national team, combined with his continued dominance in the NBA, cements his status as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. As he pursues more and more titles and individual accolades, his legacy as an all-time great continues to grow with each passing year.
